How do I get a transcript of a YouTube podcast?
Paste the episode's link into the box above, keep Transcript selected and run it. The conversation appears as text on the page. Copy it, or download it as TXT for reading, or as SRT or VTT if you want a time on every line. If you make it signed in, it's saved to your history for 90 days, so you can reopen a long episode later.
How long a podcast can I transcribe?
Up to 3 hours when the episode has captions, which we use when they exist. If it has no captions, speech-to-text (Whisper) steps in, and that works up to 1 hour. So a long interview with captions is fine, but a 2-hour episode with none won't run. Check the CC button on the YouTube player to see which case you have.
How do I find where a guest said something?
Download SRT or VTT, then search the file for a word the guest used. Each line has a time, so you know where to jump in the video. A worked example: you remember a guest talking about pricing around the middle of a 2-hour show. Search the file for "pricing", read the time next to it, and scrub the player to that spot.
What can I do with a podcast transcript?
