Privacy policy
We collect as little as we can and delete your files quickly. Here's exactly what we keep.
Your account
To download, you make an account with an email address and a password. We store your email, a securely hashed version of your password (never the password itself), and your plan and credit balance.
Your downloads
- Files. We fetch the video on our server and make the file you asked for. It's deleted 15 minutes after it's ready.
- History. Your account history keeps the link, the title and the format of each download, so you can find it again. You can clear your history at any time from your account page.
Payments
Payments are handled by our payment provider. We don't see or store your full card number. We keep a record of what you bought and when.
Logs
Like most websites, our servers keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and errors) to keep the service running and stop abuse.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't share your download history with anyone. There's no app, so there's nothing on your device apart from what your browser stores, like your login session.
Deleting your account
Email hello@vidmagpie.com from your account's address and we'll delete your account and history.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For anything significant, we'll tell account holders by email.
