How do I download a video from Instagram?
Open the post or Reel, tap the paper plane icon and choose Copy link. On a computer you can copy the address bar instead. Paste the link into the box above and press Download. You get an MP4 with the sound in the same file, at the best quality Instagram serves for that post, usually up to 1080p.

Can I download from a private Instagram account?
No. We can only fetch posts that anyone could see without logging in, so private accounts, close-friends stories and lives won't work. If you can open the post in a private browser window without signing in, it should download. If it asks you to log in first, it won't, and a failed attempt doesn't use a credit.
Does the Instagram video keep its sound?
Yes. Reels and video posts come down as one MP4 with the audio included, so you won't end up with a silent clip and a separate sound file.
