How do I download a YouTube Short?
Copy the Short's link from the Share button in the YouTube app, paste it into the box above and press Download. Links that look like youtube.com/shorts/ work exactly as they are, so there's no need to edit them. You get an MP4 in the same vertical shape you see in the app, at the best quality the Short was uploaded in.

Can I save a YouTube Short to my camera roll?
Yes, with one extra step on iPhone. Safari puts the download in the Files app first. Open it there, tap Share, then Save Video, and it moves into Photos with your other clips. On Android the Short goes to Downloads and normally appears in your gallery straight away, with nothing else to do.
The iPhone Photos guide has screenshots of each step.
Can I repost my Shorts to Reels or TikTok?
Yes, and downloading is the easiest way to do it when you no longer have the original file. We don't add a watermark, so the MP4 is clean to upload again as a Reel or a TikTok. If the Short belongs to someone else, ask them first and credit them when you post it. Most creators are happy to say yes when asked.
Is the Shorts downloader free?
Yes, for your first 3 downloads. Make a free account with an email and password and you get 3 downloads to try it. After that, A Little More is $2.50 for 20 downloads, paid once. Pro is $5.99 a month for unlimited downloads, or $14 a quarter, or $45 a year. If a download fails, it doesn't use a credit.
We build your file on our server and delete it 15 minutes after it's ready. Your account history keeps the link, the title and the format you picked, and you can clear it whenever you like. There's no app to install: it all runs in the browser on iPhone, Android, Mac and PC.
